Nathan Strasser, 27, discovered his passion for music at the age of 4 when he began to study piano. Over the years, Nathan has pursued additional training in the areas of composition, cello, organ, and songwriting. Nathan has composed in many different styles for a variety of different ensembles from solo piano, string quartet, and brass quintet to big bands and full orchestra. At 8 years old, Nathan was selected to perform at the International Music Workshop in Scotland and again in Austria at the age of 10. He has performed as a soloist with the Wheeling Symphony, Washington Symphonic Orchestra, and on the main stage at the Heritage Port BluesFest. Nathan received his Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies from West Virginia University.

In 2009, Nathan relocated to Nashville, TN to further develop his successful career as a studio musician, songwriter, and arranger. Music City introduced Nathan to a wide variety of clients, which included faculty from Belmont University. Nathan has recorded at the renowned Oceanway Studios, Warner Brothers Studios, and Quonset Hut Studios. Nathan has performed and recorded with Derico Watson (drummer for Victor Wooten) as well as Grammy-winning artists Riders in the Sky and Brent Mason. In November of 2012, Nathan released his debut CD entitled Confluence. Featured musicians on this album include Gabe Dixon, American Idol's Laura Mayo, and Kerry Marx, the longtime staff-guitarist for the Grand Ole Opry.

Nathan has scored a number of films since moving to Los Angeles. He is ecstatic to be among the elite group of students accepted into the 2013-2014 Scoring for Motion Pictures Program at USC and anticipates a long and challenging career in the music industry.
