Malachi Gregory

Malachi Gregory is a composer fascinated by the interaction between sound and visual media. His music calls upon bold melodies, dynamic textures, and sincere storytelling through score.
Malachi began his journey after picking up the viola when he was eight years old, then composing his first string orchestra piece at thirteen. Malachi majored in Screen Scoring Music Composition at NYU Steinhardt, where he had the opportunity to collaborate with game developers and local filmmakers in compositional and sound design roles. Malachi was selected as the 2023 inaugural Game Audio Diversity Alliance (GADA) GameSoundCon Scholar and 2025 Game Developer’s Conference Scholar, where he received mentorship under Wilbert Roget II (Star Wars Outlaws, Helldivers 2).
Malachi’s loves the collaborative storytelling experience of scoring animation, film, and especially games, where he is able to take advantage of middleware’s transformative potential to realize dynamic soundscapes. His experience includes 2023 Rockstar Games Playcrafting sponsorship winner Signal Creek, Yu-Hsuan (Yoyo) Teng’s Vestige, Dirty Work, and many other indie projects. Malachi’s work seamlessly blends classical training with modern creativity, working to create a score that will uplift your project’s creative vision.
Outside of scoring, catch him riding a bike, exploring a new recipe, or playing a new indie game! Silksong is almost here!!
