Hi, I’m Isha Asabe — thank you for stopping by!

I’m a composer, orchestrator, and conductor raised between Pune and Los Angeles, shaped by the musical cultures of both cities. My journey began with the guitar, sparking a lifelong love for storytelling. Trained in both Hindustani classical music and Western orchestration, I bring a cross-cultural voice to every piece—fusing Indian traditions with lush orchestral textures, jazz colors, electronic soundscapes, and experimental elements.

I’ve always been drawn to crossing genres and styles. Growing up in India with a multicultural perspective, I love blending the heartfelt expressiveness of orchestral music with the freedom of jazz, the edge of electronic textures, and the imaginative spirit of cinematic storytelling. I also have a deep love for documentaries, where music becomes a lens for truth, memory, and humanity.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition for Film and Visual Media from Musicians Institute, Hollywood. I’ve conducted and recorded original works at United Recording in LA, scored award-winning animated shorts, arranged for chamber ensembles, and written big band jazz charts and performed live music at Ovation Hollywood.

My musical voice is shaped by heroes like John Williams, Alexandre Desplat, Ludwig Göransson, and A.R. Rahman, as well as films such as Oppenheimer, Jurassic Park, The Shape of Water, Padmaavat, and Poor Things. Games like Zelda, Final Fantasy, and The Last of Us have also inspired me to explore how music carries story, memory, and emotion across time.

Ultimately, whether for screen or stage, I strive to create music that bridges tradition and innovation—blending cultures, genres, and hearts into something musically compelling.
