Finn Clarke is a screen composer from Tasmania, Australia. Think Taz from Looney Tunes.

He won Best Soundtrack Album at the 2025 Australian Screen Music Awards for The Raftsmen – beating Moana 2, Bluey and The Order. In 2024 he was nominated for Best Music for an Advertisement at the same awards, and also won the Grand Diemen: Digital and Sound Design categories at the 2025 Diemen Awards, and the Award of Excellence at the 2023 Accolade Global Film Competition.

Finn’s screen credits include The Raftsmen (SFF 25), The Platypus Guardian (PBS), I’m So Sorry for Your Loss (ABC Australia), and Moonbird (SBS Australia). He is currently studying at USC under full scholarship, thanks to the Brian May Scholarship and the Ian Potter Cultural Trust, and has previously received Music Australia’s 2024 Export Development Fund and the 2023 Regional Screen in LA Scholarship. In addition to his composing work, Finn co-founded the Tasmanian Media Composers Collective and serves as a board member for the not-for-profit Apple Box Studio.

Growing up with diverse musical influences, Finn played violin in orchestras and folk bands, and electric violin in an EDM duo. He blends these experiences with his classical composition studies (UTAS Conservatorium of Music) and his background in location sound recording (Deadloch, The Survivors, Bay of Fires) to craft scores that fuse rich melodies, minimalist sensibilities, experimental sound textures, and folk influences.

In his spare time, Finn enjoys hiking, windsurfing, and patting cats.
