Quanying Wang

Quanying Wang, a classically trained clarinetist and a media composer, originally from Beijing and now based in Los Angeles. She earned her bachelor's degree from Berklee College of Music in 2024, and is currently studying Screen Scoring at the University of Southern California.

Introduced to classical music early on, Quanying studied clarinet performance at the China Conservatory of Music. Alongside her classical training, she has a keen interest in electronic music, and she often experiments with blending these styles.

Quanying's experience includes several film collaborations. In 2021, she composed for the film “Phoenix of Rage,” and in 2022, for the TV series “Magic Lipstick.” In 2023, she worked with student director Zhao Yizhe on “Fight for Fight.” In 2024, she composed music for short animated film “A Trip to the Snow Resort”, by Jie Ni. She also pursues her own projects, releasing instrumental singles “Worldlet” and “Tensions” in 2021, and in 2023, she co-composed “The Fall of the House of Usher” with Qianwen Guan.

Going forward, Quanying aims to continue working in the film industry while developing her own music, focusing on creating and releasing original compositions.
