Originally from Bratislava, and raised in Munich, David Bertok is a classically trained pianist, who is at home with classical, jazz, rock, pop, theater, as well as film music. He is a performer, arranger and a composer, who studied in Munich, Hamburg and Augsburg before coming to USC. David has also written for, produced, and toured with major European progressive rock bands.

David began focusing on scoring for film and television in recent years, and has composed scores for an array of German and British student films, as well as for Slovak television commercials.

David is thrilled to be studying in the SMPTV program, and is looking forward to working on diverse scoring projects.

David Bertok is a recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship.
