Jeff Tinsley (b.1986) is an experienced composer, arranger, conductor, teacher, and performer. Jeff received a B.M. in Music Composition from the University of Oregon in 2010, where he studied under Dr. Robert Kyr and Dr. David Crumb. At this time, he also studied percussion performance with Dr. Charles Dowd and Dr. Sean Wagner. Upon graduation, Jeff was recognized with the prestigious honor of "Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar in Composition."

Jeff's concert works have received many public performances and recording opportunities. He has enjoyed collaborations and performances with the University of Oregon Symphony Orchestra, the University of Oregon "New Frontiers" Chamber Orchestra, and many smaller chamber ensembles, not to mention his participation in the Oregon Bach Festival Composers Symposium in 2009.

In recent years, Jeff has experienced fruitful collaborations and opportunities in film. In 2009, he composed and produced a score for a film demo with the 60-piece University of Oregon Symphony Orchestra, and in 2010, he had a similar collaboration with the 32-piece "New Frontiers" Orchestra. 2010 also marked an exciting collaboration with filmmaker Jesse Vinton on a dramatic short called "Death Do Us Part," which was produced as part of the University of Oregon "Adrenaline Film Project."

Jeff's true passion lies in motion pictures, and some of his greatest influences include John Williams, Danny Elfman, Alan Silvestri, Alan Menken, Michael Giacchino, and Hans Zimmer. One of Jeff's greatest attributes is that he can compose in any style that is desired, and he is excited about collaborating with anyone who is passionate about filmmaking.
