Giona Ostinelli was born in Switzerland in 1986. At the age of 6 he started to play drums. After few years of just playing the drumset, drums wasn't enough, he needed more. He then started to play the piano at the age of 9. Until the end of high school, Giona was very involved the local band scene by playing in many musical groups. After high school he got accepted at Berklee College of Music, were in 3 years he was able to graduate with summa cum laude in Film Scoring. While he was at Berklee, Giona worked on quite many short movies. One short documentary was also showed on PBS and won a CINE Golden Eagle. In January 2010, after graduating from Berklee, Giona assisted composer Yuval Ron, who in the past composed the music for the Oscar winning short movie "West Bank Story". While assisting Mr. Ron, Giona had the possibility to work on some other short movies and some of his music was also chosen for the opening of a Business Conference held in Munich in August 2010
