My name is Hironori "Guts" Anazawa. I am originally from Tokyo, Japan and graduated from the University of South Alabama with a B.M. in music and a chemistry minor in 2009. There, I studied composition with Dr. David Durant, conducting with Dr. Greg Gruner, and Irish music with Dr. Andra Bohnet.

My motto is to do things for others using my skills and talents. In addition, I have received care and help along the way from many people both in the United States and Japan. I am eager to repay all of these wonderful people by composing for films to the best of my ability. USC gives me a great start to apply the motto, so I look forward to any projects at USC.

I want to work for any kinds of films as many as possible, but my interests are especially in suspense, science-fiction, family films and children's animation. I know so many talented film makers are at USC and cannot wait to work with them.
