Upon graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in London, I moved to Japan for three years, where I taught English and music. This experience and being in a totally alien place shaped me into who I am and gave me a ton of experiences which I can often relate to in my music and the projects I'm working on. Additionally, my time in Japan gave me a unique insight into their 'group' mentality, hence the synergy of film-making and the effort required to tell a good story is something I have come to love and embrace.

My favourite directors are Ridley Scott, Danny Boyle, Wong Kar Wai, and Akira Kurosawa. If there was only one film composers' music that I could take to a desert island, it would be the music of Thomas Newman. As for composition, I'm prepared to do anything, to see "how deep the rabbit-hole goes." My side-projects with music usually involve some sort of electronica, and recently the remixing of well-known film score tracks. I also have a love for travelling and am an avid video game player (and therefore come with a deep knowledge of their soundtracks).

Someone recently showed me that an anagram of my name is "Rock the rage". This is occasionally reflected in my music, but not always, as I hope the samples will show!
