My education in jazz theory and improvisation is the foundation for my interest in the harmonies, melodies, and rhythms that make up the music of film and television scores. But beyond the jazz education of my formal studies, I am intrigued by any genre that adds style, intention, or revelation to cinema. The collaboration between filmmakers and composers is an exciting prospect, to work with people who have a passion for their projects and seek to present work that honors the history of film while continuing to explore its immense possibilities.
