Scott Sheppard

Scott Sheppard is a Los Angeles based American composer born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Scott attended the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) as a Music Composition major. At CCM, Scott studied under Dr. Michael Fiday, Dr. Douglas Knehans, and department head Dr. Joel Hoffman. His works have primarily consisted of acoustic compositions ranging in size and instrumentation from solo works to choral ensembles to full orchestral works. During his time at CCM, Scott organized and supervised two recitals consisting solely of his original compositions. As a student in the University Honors program, Scott received the Mary Rowe book award as a partial scholarship to attend Dr. Hoffman's summer composition workshop in Milna, Croatia.

Other scholarships include the Cincinnatus Scholarship, the Harold and Rose Mittlestat Scholarship, and and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Honors Scholarship. Scott graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati in the Summer of 2013 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition and a minor in Business Administration. Currently, Scott attends the University of Southern California as a graduate student in the Thornton School of Music's Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program.
