   <p> Murat Selcuk's passion for music began with Depeche Mode covers on a 16 channel Roland synthesizer out of his bedroom. Soon he began a period of intense study as a clarinetist at the Istanbul University State Conservatory. He had an impressive career as performer, traveling to quite a few countries with quite a few orchestras. </p> <p> In 2011 he shifted gears and traveled to France, to attend the Conservatoire &agrave; Rayonnement R&eacute;gionale d'Annecy as a composer, where he collaborated with documentary directors from Cin&eacute;doc Paris Films and on animation projects from ArtFx Studios, &Eacute;cole Pivaut and Gobelins L'&eacute;cole De L'image. </p><p> Two years later Murat attended University of Southern California's highly-competitive film scoring program in Los Angeles. There he worked closely with Garry Schyman (BioShock, Dante's Inferno), Bruce Broughton, Jack Smalley and Christopher Young  and was personally mentored by James Newton Howard (The Sixth Sense, King Kong, The Village, Maleficent). </p><p> Murat has scored for several video games, including Ahistoric and Apophis and the mobile app game Mythsmash. He has also worked closely with composer Ramin Djawadi of Game of Thrones fame, on projects such as Dracula Untold and The Strain. He recently scored a short out of Australia called The Pines, which has received accolades on the festival circuit in Adelaide.</p><p> At present Murat resides in Los Angeles.. </p>
