Juman Lee
Juman Lee is a Korean composer, pianist and songwriter originally from South Korea. He started to study classical composition in Korea at 17 with his first composition professor, Kyung-Hwa Lee, and decided to go aboard to USA to get more professional musical trainings as a composer. He entered New England Conservatory as a scholarship holder and studied with John Mallia and Kati Agocs. In Boston, he worked a variety of genre of music including Pop, Jazz, Choir music, and CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) as well as concert music. He studied church music with Kee-Young Kim and he orchestrated and arranged various pieces for church choir and orchestra [Amazing Grace
for Flute, Violin, Cello, and Piano (2013) and He is the Christ
for choir and chamber orchestra (2012)].
As a concert composer, he has worked a lot of pieces for everything from large orchestra to solo instruments [The Beautiful Land of Korea
for orchestra (2013) etc.] and his two string quartets were selected as a winner of NEC Honors Ensemble competitions [String Quartet I Romantic Assassins
(2009) and String Quartet II Butterfly
(2012)].
As a Film composer, he participated in game music project in NEC, and collaborated with student film makers of Korean National University of Arts and School of Visual Arts in New York. [This Is My Home

Juman Lee holds a Bachelor of Music in classical composition from New England Conservatory. He graduated with academic honors from NEC and was selected as a nominee of Pi Kappa Lambda. He is presently studying in USC`s professional graduate program, Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television.
Juman Lee is a recipient of CJ Culture Foundation Scholarship of Korea.
