Professor Richard McIlvery teaches SCOR 521a/b, a 2-semester course that includes recording, mixing, and music editing designed specifically for screen composers. Supplemental modules include seminars on the roles of music editors and score producers by Christopher Brooks, as well as a 2-day in-studio seminar on large-scale recording and mixing by Dennis Sands. Professor McIlvery also teaches SCOR 512, an entrepreneurialism course that focuses on business-related issues specific to screen composers and includes visits from important industry specialists.
